Activities included working with local government and businesses, giving residents a forum to discuss community concerns and improving safety and property security.
One of Island Estates best neighbors and business partners is the Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA). The Aquarium is one of only eight facilities in the U.S. authorized rehabilitate marine mammals. The CMA is currently planning a $12 million expansion on Island Estates.
With the upcoming release of a new movie (Dolphin Tale) about Winter, one of the CMA’s famous dolphins, the CMA expects an increase in public interest and tourism. The Aquarium is working closing with the community and the Community Development Board in order to be a good partner to Island Estates throughout the expansion.
In addition to the Aquarium, Island Estates residents get the benefit of all that Clearwater Beach has to offer – some of the Tampa Bay Area’s best shopping, fine dining, family entertainment and outdoor recreation.
If you love the beach and the waterfront lifestyle, you’ll discover that Clearwater Beach is a gem of the Florida West Coast, where you’ll find parasailing, jet skis and fishing charters, cruises and plenty of opportunities for golf and tennis.
Island Estates residents also enjoy the activities at Pier 60, a great seaside spot with a playground, snack bar and long fishing pier. You’ll see locals from all over the area congregating at ‘Sunsets at Pier 60’ for street performances and live music every evening.
